| First Vet Visit When did you take your baby on their first vet visit with you? I finally found a vet that I like and am going to make an appointment. Is it wise to take him right after I get him from the breeder's or should I take him the next day? Do you think it will stress him out too much if I take him on the first day I get him? |

| I took Holly two days after. I don't think he would be freaked out. I actually read somewhere that is was wise to take them within 48 days.

| I agree...if not the first day, within 48 hours! You must be getting excited!

I think I'm just going to book the appointment for the first day. My breeder has a 72 hour health guarantee, but I just want to get it over with. I just didn't want to stress him out on the first day too much. | |

| I took Luigi to the vet the day right after I got him from the breeder. I also heard it was a good idea to take them as soon as possible, within the first 48-72 hours. I could tell Luigi was a little confused on where he was, but he did well! I just pet him on my lap while we waited at the office and comforted him while saying "good boy" a million times, and he did great (throughout the whole examination and he even was nice to the vet and employees). i'm sure it will be fine with you as well...good luck!
