| Puppy hasn't eaten since her first shot. Been sleeping for 3 hours. I just went for Pocky's first vaccine at the vet. They told me that she woulld have a loss of appetite in terms of symptoms. Is there anything else? She's been very quiet for the last 3 hours since the visit, only sleeping in our arms or in her bed and has not showed any interest in food nor treats. Is this normal? are there any other symptoms I should watch out for? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would try and get some food into her, or some Nutrical so she doesn't go hypoglycemic. They do tend to sleep a lot after shots and a vet visit. Sometimes they are sore where they get the shot and will cry a bit when picked up. Hope she feels better soon.

| okay, after 7 hours, I managed to feed it and got it to drink water. I played with it for half an hour, then made sure it peed on the newspaper and went to bed after it settled and got tired. it's now 1.51am. honestly, i was scared that it was going to fall into hypoglycemia. the signs were all there - puppy wasn't really that warm, shivers, lack of appetite, weakness...but seeing it playing and all hyper just now really relaxed me. if a puppy wakes up in the middle of the night, should i wake up, play with it until it falls back to sleep? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Is she doing better today? After vaccines, you can check their gums for color and check for any face swelling - these would signs of a vaccine reaction. My Marcel is always extra sleepy after vaccines too.
