| Itchy ears Lately Logan has been scratching at his ears & shaking his head. I've checked for mites & had the groomer check for mites. Both of us don't think he has any, but he's acting like he does. Could this be anything else?

Mojo had the same problem. Does it have an odd smell coming from them?? Mojo scratched non stop and shook and rubbed his head. It turned out he had a yeast infection in his ears. Look in his ears and see if there is any hair down inside. I mean like inside deep if there is get some tweezers and pull it. Chances are Logan won't like it but it's necessary. When they get water and dirt in their ears normally they can shake their head and it comes out but if there is hair down in it, it holds the moisture and can cause infections. After baths take a Q-tip and very very carefully clean his ears. Well i hope my incessant(sp.) rambling helped. Good luck and keep us updated.

| I took Hailee to the Dr. today for her 1 yr. vaccinations. The vet checked her ears and she has infection in both. I was surprised because she hasn't acted in pain like a child would from ear infection. But, the vet said they usually just scratch at their ears and shake their head. He just gave us a salve in a tube to put in her ears once a day for 10 days. He said it should clear right up. Maybe this is what Logan has???
