Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | um, i've never noticed white specks in the food or in her poop while she was eating this food. perhaps you got a bad bag? i'd take a poop sample to the vet to check it out. unless someone else on here has seen this.

No Longer a Member | I know the white speck you're talking about. Chloe only tried that variety for a very short time, so I can't recall her having it in her poop. I wonder if instead of rice if it is ground fish bones... |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Here's a shot of our canidae all life stages. I suppose there are a few white specs. Is this what you mean? I haven't noticed anything in their poop, but I'll check. Ewww.

Once i gave her some fruit loops & she had a rainbow color of poo! Her poo has been soft since i got her at 8 wks old & a light brown color not dark brown like the other dogs - she is 15 wks old now. She did have Tapeworms 1 wk after i got her & was treated again 4 wks later. Also treated with albon at one time. she usually has soft poo then about every 9 -10 days she has diarhea for a few days. She has been on 2 different foods since i got her. We were using Natural Balance Duck & Potatoe, then the local pet store is starting to carry Canidae. so we switched to Canidae Lamb & Rice.

| Yep, Livi's poo has specks in it...I have always just assumed it was the rice in the food. It is not so much white, more of a cream color...looks almost grainy. We feed ours Canidae Chicken & Rice. Tammy Last edited by TammyJM; 06-27-2007 at 06:50 PM. |

| Avery has had a little bit of white-ish specks in her poop as well. She did pass roundworms about a week ago after being dewormed for the first time and is still getting over that i am sure-so i just assumed it might have been just left over crap in her body. but it didnt look anything like any type of worm and my fiance didnt think it was. i think she is all done with those nasty things anyways.. and now that i read this post it sounds like it happens to a few more people. so Yes she has the same-but seems to be loving the canidae food-and loves to eat. so im assuming all is well?

Just thought it would digest better. Stormy went to the Vet today. Has some worming meds to take for 5 days straight. Just incase she has Giardia (no sing of it in the stool samples i brought).
