| diarhea worry?? Last Thursday my one year old yorkie ate an entire bowl of dogfood that wasn't hers. She had diarhea all night long. Every hour from 12-6 am. Friday she was a lot better but stilla bit runny stool. Gave her a chicken breast and some rice and she seemed to be feeling fine, eating, playing. We went out of town for the weekend and puppysitter said she still had runny stool and last night when we got home she was still active and eating, gave her more chicken and rice, she had diarhea again last night from 1-5 this morning. Could this really still be from eating a different dog food. It's noon now and she hasn't got since 3 this morning??????? |

| AWE! Poor baby!!!! Hmm......I know it upsets their tummy when they eat different dog food, but that's weird that she's STILL having diarrhea. If I were you, I would collect a stool sample and take it to your vet to rule out parasites. If parasites are ruled out, I would ask your vet to give you some doggie phenergan to settle her tummy. Hopefully she won't charge you to bring her in for a checkup. Good luck and keep us updated on how she's doing! |

| better Well I couldn't take her in yesterday because she hasn't pooped now since yesterday at 3 in the morning. I guess that's good because that means the diareha is gone, now I just need her to poop so I can make sure it's solid. The chicken and rice must have worked. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Sometimes their little systems are slow to react -- usually when we most WANT them to! Glad your baby is better at least. Let us know what you find out. |

| Yes this does happen - it messes up their little system. The very same thing happen to Kylee when she was about 3-4 mths old. She was so sick for around 7 days. Cost me over $200 at the Vet. She ate some soft dog food that looked like burger meat - it was so good that my brother refilled the bowl for her, she ate & ate & ate. He picks up the food when we go over now.

| Venus did that last week, think it was. I called a friend thats been a vet tech for 15 years. She told me overnight, cut out all food and water.....and to give her 1/2 cc of Peptobismal. Next day she was fine. But omg....it was a scare, never seen my girl do anything like that before. Friend asked if she had any new food or treats. Only thing I could think of, was one new treat, and she didn't get much of it at all. But we stopped that treat now. Everything is fine. |
