| Teeth Little Louie is nearly 7 months old now, I know his baby teeth will come out soon, but where his bottom "fang" teeth are he has another set behind them, like a double set, is this normal? and will the front set come out on there own? he will not let me look at his top set, I will keep trying to have a look though, his breath doesn't smell to good either |

| too many teeth When I took Maxine to the vet for her first check up I was told she had too many teeth. Not all the baby teeth fell out and the adult teeth were growing up in front of them. She is seven months old. Some have fallen out (actually quite a few) but I still notice some haven't. The vet suggested getting them pulled. It will help against decay and other related problems. We just got Maxine and the spay is next. We are going to do it then. I was hoping they would fall out, but they are really stuck in there. Good luck |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Normal Its very common....just have your vet look at them, they can get infected and cause damage to permanent teeth if they do not come out on time! Bella had to have like 10 or so pulled she looked like a lil shark with 2 rows of toofers!! Im not sure when they should be out tho, as every dog is different Diggy is losing his right now at 16 weeks...Bella didnt start losing any until she was 5 months...so not sure if he is early or she was late. Either way your baby is very normal!

| That is very common for the canine teeth to stay in. I would wait until he's a year old and if those adult teeth haven't come out yet, you'll need to take him to the vet to have them pulled. |

| My Bella has one 'double' left on her top row and two on the bottom row (her canines). I've been watching them pretty closely, she doesn't seem to be having any discomfort or anything. I'll be spaying her within the next few months here (she's 6 months old now) and will have them pulled if they don't fall out by then.

| Thanks for all your comments, I will be going to the vets with my other dog next week so Louie can tag along and I will ask the vet to have a quick look. Thanks again everyone |
