Bad teeth problem! My baby has bad teeth and I knew this before i adopted her a couple of days ago. She is 7 years old and i was wondering why she has black spots on her teeth? The woman who had her before didnt take good care of her and didnt want her anymore so she took her back to the breeder where i adopted her. Can anyone give me some answers?

Yorkies are well-known for their bad teeth. They need lots of care. I would start by having her teeth cleaned and checked by the vet. The bacteria in bad teeth can cause other problems in their health.

Good puppy teeth and bad adult My Benni and Garett had beautiful shiny white puppy teeth. Shortly after the older one lost his puppy teeth and his adult teeth came in, I noticed that his teeth, especially his incisors were brown and ugly looking. Had him checked by a vet dentist. It seems that apparently before I got him he was sick and someone gave him an antibiotic that discolored the new enamel in his adult teeth which were not fully formed. They are healthy, jus look awful. The vet said that I could have them capped for about $4-500 each! LOL Gar by the way has perfect adult teeth, he only had to have three baby teeth pulled and his adult teeth could win a contest for the brightest white.
