| My Baby My little Princess is getting spayed & baby teeth extracted tomorrow. I'm very concerned -----She is 6 1/2 months old 2 lbs 10- 12 ozs. However, I have a lot of confidence in my vet. He will keep her overnight. He is my friend/breeders vet also. So he has seen her from day one. |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Okay here is just my opinion....I dont understand why vets keep babies overnight after spay/extraction. It is much less stressful on your baby to be home with you and comfy in her own bed. I am sure some love the fact keeps them and moniters tham but Does your vet stay there all night with her? Either way he is probably going to be a phone call away. Im just a fan of bringing them home. My vet did Bellas Surgery at 8 am I was able to pick her up at 6 pm. SHe also was 2 pounds or so and 6 months. She has 9-12 teeth pulled (cannot remember exactly) Again just my opinion and preference. I wish your baby luck>

| Little Princess Thank you all for the prayers and kind words! Vet's office has called, she is doing great--only 4 baby teeth---I thought she had more than that. I can pick her up in the morning. Yes, there is someone with the sick animals all night at my vet's office. |

| Princess Picked my baby up early this morning. She has eaten very little, slept most of the day, but she has peed and pooped. She woke up this afternoon whining and pulling at the sutures. I had to go back to the vet's and get one of those plastic cones--- they call it a lampshade. She had a FIT when I put it on her!!!!!!!! I took it off, gave her some pain medicine and held her in my arms until she went back to sleep. She is sound asleep in her bed now. The vet tech that was on duty last night has a small Yorkie of her own. |
