| Bordetella question How bad is it for a dog to get the bordetella twice in a 45 day period?. I took Jerome for his shots today (rabies and parvo) well, I saw the vet giving him something in the nose, but I didn't asked anything b/c I thought maybe there is a new way of giving the dogs some of the shots. I left the et's office and later when I was putting the receipts from the vet's office away I noticed that the descrition on the paper was rabies shot and bordetella not parvo so I looked at last months receipt and he was giving bordetella shot. I called the vets office but, they were about to leave so the doctor's had left. I still left a voice mail to the doctor that took care of Jerome and I hope he calls me tomorrow. I just can't understand why if he had his file pulled he didn't look at it to see what shots he needed. I'm also concern about if that can be too much bordetella for my baby.

| Spike went in today for his Bordatella booster - he had his first one three weeks ago and we were told to come back as they give a second booster three weeks after the first. |

| I just found this on www.kennelcomfort.com: TWO TYPES OF VACCINES. (And safe for puppies as well as pregnant bitches!) There is the painlessly applied nasal vaccine which builds protection at the site of potential infection, starting within 48 hours. The "nose drop" vaccine is the one that we recommend for your dog. (Even though it is "painless" some dogs are resentful and will struggle.) And, there is the injection by needle that works through the dog's lymph immune system. the needle injection vaccine requires two injections 3 to 4 weeks apart in order to build long-term protection against CC. Since some people don't go back for the booster 3-4 weeks after the initial vaccine, we do NOT recommend the injectable vaccine. Check with your veterinarian for his/her recommendations. |

I read and read on the internet all kids of info in bordetella. It just freaked me out the fact that he had too boosters in a short period of time since he is not a puppy anymore, plus when it comes to our babies I'm sure all of us get really worried thinking that you don't want anything bad to happen to them.
