| How much is too much? Both Dior and Diesel are currently on Canidae and Missing link. I also share a capsule of fish oil between the 2 daily. I add a tea spoon of vinegar to their water everyday and they share 1 egg white with some olive oil once a week. Their only treats are 100% beef liver and free range bully sticks. Is there anything i should cut back on or even add to? I just want them to have the best and live long healthy lives. Hope i am not sounding to obsessed.

| It sounds to me like you are doing fine. I wouldn't feed too much of the beef liver though. AND, I'm not so sure you should be putting vinegar in their water. My vet told me their water should be clear, unaltered water. |

| I think the olive oil and the fish oil is too much oil. I would do one or the other. The fish oil is probably best

| Hi. I agree that I'd only do olive oil or fish oil, not both. I have never heard of adding vinegar to their water, what is that supposed to do? You might want to try adding a little fruit and/or veggies as treats. Cheerios are also good treats. |

I stopped giving the olive oil now and i am cutting back on the apple cider. I always gave fruits and veggies and also cheerios for treats. I was giving the beef liver (2 pieces) every day because i had bought a pretty big tub and now i want it gone I love all the suggestion i received and i am working on how much i am doing

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | My question is: is the fish oil necessary if Missing Link is given? ML provides EFAs - so the fish oil is redundant, isn't it? Hope someone knows for sure...

| I agree with this. I prefer fish oil over ML, personally. And Apple Cider Vinegar is indeed good, but I would not put it in the water. I would keep their water clear and fresh at all times. And I would not do the oil every single day. I heard an overload could be bad for the kidneys. Maybe you could put the ACV on their food one or two times a week then do either the ML or fish oil a couple of times a week when you don't do the ACV. Then, maybe one beef liver treat a day and then the other times do fruit and/or cheerios for a treat. |
