| Trouble switching diet!!! Help I have come to the conclusion that I am feeding Chewy too many diferent foods every day. For breakfast she eats Wellness wet food with a few Kelloggs sprinkled on top. Then for dinner I put a little bit of some kind of people food (usually chicken with a veggie) on top of her Canidae dry food. She will usually eat the people food and then the dog food a little later. So I decided to change her diet. I want to cut out the wet food in the morning. I tried to mix in some dry food into her wet this morning and she only ate about half of the wet and none of the dry. I want to be able to have her eat dry food all day and then when were having our dinner I will put something yummy on her dry. I dont know how to get her to start eating the dry in the morning!!! She will wait for hours after waking up and not eat anything. So i give in and give her some Wellness. Any advice? Thanks |

My furkids Donating Member | I feed the girls Canidae wet and dry. I don't use alot of the wet....I mix about 3 tbsp of the wet with the dry...I toss it in the micro...usually they will eat it right away...if not I just leave it down for them (they share the same dish. I use a pie plate) sometimes they will pick a little at it and then go back during the day.

| Don't know if this will work but it's what came into my head while reading your post. Maybe if you crushed up the dry into tiny bits and mix with the wet. You may have already tried this. Good luck to you.
