| Wellness, Innova or Merrick's Puppy Plate? Okay, I am going to pull my hair out! Coco does not like the Canidae I have been feeding her (all three flavors). She will pick at it and then not eat for days. The vet said this was not normal. Now I have been giving her samples of Wellness and Innova. I can't tell which she likes better. I put a few pieces of both in my hand and see what she goes for and she eats both! She ate the Canidae a first too. I was also debating on trying Merrick's puppy plate. Now my only concern is alot of people say that Merrick's makes them go to the bathroom more and it's runny. I've also read that about the Wellness. The reason I was going to try the Merrick's is because I hear alot of picky eaters like this. In your experience what food do they eat the best and have the least poop? Thank you so much. I want to find a great food that she will eat and be done! I don't want to keep switching. Nicole |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Well I recommend Innova EVO.....My baby is 10 weeks, hypoglycemic, picky eater, and only 1.1 lbs......He is now since switching Blood sugar regulated, shinier coat, eating well, and gaining weight. So it was quite the fix all. The my opinion! Hope it helps! Mix in some hamburger or chicken to make it more tempting??? Low fat Cottage cheese or shredded cheddar cheese???

YT 500 Club Member | I got a sample of EVO and Timerwolf.. I actually went in to get a sample of Merricks, the pet store didn have it.. but they said the picky eaters love EVO and Timberwolf.. I am currently switching over to Wellness from Science diet. I would love for him to eat Wellness as well as EVO or Merricks, I had never heard of Timerwolf until yesterday.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I switched from Royal Canin to wellness and merricks. They ate the Merricks quicker. Now I have switched to California Natural for allergy reasons and they are all eating it. Since having 3 they seem to be a lot less picky as if they don't eat it right away one of the others will.

Mine love the Artemis samples we got. I use them for training treats right now, but thinking about switching. I was at our feed store the other day and they had all the Innova outside with signs "50% OFF". I was tempted but it looked really old and dusty and I wondered why they were in such a hurry to get rid of it. Hmmm...

| I mix Canidae w/ any Merricks flavor. Right now I am using puppy plate, but I have also bought Granny's pot pie. If you want to feed Canidae just mix it with another that they will eat. This way they are getting 2 high quality foods. I think all dogs have different stools on different foods. It just depends on how their bodies digest it. Just change the food slowly so they don't get to runny (they may at first just because of the change). If they stay that way then switch food for sure. Good luck!

| Thanks everyone for the responses! So I'm assuming those of you who feed Merrick's dry do not have a problem with runny, frequent stools. It must just depend on the dog. Guess I will have to try and see how Coco does with it. The Artemis looks great too. That is probably the only food that I cannont even get in Ohio. Figures! Thanks you for you help, Nicole and Coco |
