| teething, ears, grooming so i have a 5 month old yorkie girl and i know she is teething and that is why both her ears dropped because they were always before upright. So i figure they may come back up but they dropped a few weeks ago...how long is too long to be worried...when will the pop back up?? and is it ok for me to get her groomed because she does have alot of ear hair that may be causing this as well...help thanks concerned yorkie parent |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | The ears can drop when they are teething but if there is a lot of hair on the ears you need to have them shaved so they will go back up. 5 months is fine to have them groomed. Good luck!!

| I have a friend who is a breeder and she said I had to PULL THE excess hair out of the ear canal. I thought it would hurt GIa but it actuallly did not. I used tweezers to pull it till I could see down in the canal. Then, I cleaned with qtips the black stuff in the ear. Not down very far tho. I am prettly sure they get ear infections, yeast, etc if you don['t deal with that excess hair. The groomer is supposed to do that but I don't go to the groomer very much. Scared gia will jump off the table. she doesn't fit in the sling. he he Denise |

| thank you for the suggestions. i made an appointment for her to get groomed. but i am kinda scared she might be too small for it she only weighs a little over a pound... |
