| Neosporin for scrapes? I was playing fetch with my Yorkie the other day and he was running and scraped his left paw a little. There was no severe bleeding so I didn't take him to the vet. He licked it a bit and then was running normally again. This morning it was a little red and he licked it again so I was doing some research on first-aid for dogs. I came across a website that suggested you can put Neosporin on a dog if he gets a minor cut or scrape, just make sure he doesn't lick it. I was wonderig has anyone else tried this before? Is it safe to put that on a dog? |

| I wouldn't hesitate to put it on one of mine. Just put a sock over his paw so he can't lick it off. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have used it but on an area that they couldn't lick it off. The vet gave me Panalog cream which is the animal version of Neosporin. I like to keep it on hand for emergencies. I think Petsmart has an antibiotic cream you can but as well.

I put Neosporin on it last night and covered his paw with his boot. He seems OK today, even though he is still licking it so I guess it still hurts him a little bit. | |

| Yep, I've used it too on my little Kallie and she didn't bother to even lick it!!! I use the one that also has something for pain as well. No pain, I figure not licking. But then she's such a good girl!!!
