| i just notice that on my yorkie also who is about 6 months. the dryness and flakiness is only on his underside and by his legs. i hope someone here knows what it is. i wonder if its from the change in weather cause i haven't changed his diet at all. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Kind of sounds like sebbhorea. You could try a good supplement like Missing Link - that has been known to help w/ skin issues. Try Canidae food - an excellent food, and known for being a good choice for dogs w/ allergies.

| Skin Problem [QUOTE=Poppy;1082547]Hi All. Hi, I'm a Newbie too and I am having the same type skin problem you described in your post with my 5 yr. old male Yorkie. I think it may be dry skin because the hair is somewhat brittle. I am using Nova Pearls shampoo and conditioner for dry skin and try not to bath him so frequently. I would sure like to know exactly the cause of this problem and a cure all. Jane |

| My yorkie used to have that problem too, I changed her food to Chicken soup for the dog lovers soul" and I try not to wash her so much, sometimes when she's not too dirty, I just use a wipe to wipe her down. I mean it's not completely gone, but it really helped alot. |
