| I definitely think it's worth it. I have mine through VPI. I have a cancer rider, and a $10,000/year max. I mainly think it's worth it in case there is any kind of accident or emergency. I don't have $10,000 laying around to be able to spend at an emergency vet, so it's comforting to have the back-up. Mine is only like $15/month. Plus, if there is an emergency, all I have to pay is a $50 deductible. It does cover immunizations etc, but that's just kind of an added benefit in my mind.

| I just looked at VPI and they want from about $23 - 33, depending in the plan. Do you think it's because I live in NYC?

I find this strange! I pay $24.34 a month for the superior plan and a cancer rider is additonal! Also this does not enclude office visits, shots or any rebate on heartworm or frontline. Looks like they are charging according to where you live! | |

| I have VPI through work (payroll deduction). I work in HR and suggested that we offer pet insurance. Mine starts May 1st. It will cost me $12.00 biweekly.
