Thank you for this post! I just sent Solid Gold, FROMM and Artemis an email to see if they still do samples. Those three companies sound like great puppy/dog food makers. I dont want any junk or fillers in my MiMi's food. I bought Blue Buffalo Puppy Life Protection Formula but after doing some readin on this site I will be taking it back since its unopened still. I dont get my baby MiMi till later in May, so I have time to order her whats best between now and then .

I'm pretty impressed with what a couple of these places sent. I gave Kiki some Artemis today and she LOVED IT. I'm hoping this will be the go to food.

Hi, Im new to this forum. My mom has been feeding her 6yr old Yorkie Royal Canin but I noticed that there's pork by products in it! That has to go! Am I wrong? Now Im looking for a limited ingredient food. Hows Blue Mountain dog food? I like that there's no Soy, Corn or by products. I'll search this thread but any advice would be appreciated.

Not much activity in this thread, anyway I'll try again. Does anyone feed their Yorkie canned Natural Balance? My little Yorkie seems to like it. We just switched over from Royal Canin which is crap. Just wanted to see if Natural Balance is as good as Fromms or Eagle Pack.

YT 2000 Club Member | dog food My yorkies eat wellness . The complete health chicken and oatmeal. I give Jojo a little of the petite casserole chicken green beans and carrots. He loves it . One has to eat zd hills diet because he had pancreatitis. The other eats that too because she was itching so bad now is clear. I put a little steamed carrot and little bits of egg white to flavor this food. I don't like science diet but it's all they can eat. You have to be careful not to feed too much fat or too high protein. |

Seeking dry food recommendations Hi to all !! Newbie here, mama to MiaBella xo... I'm looking for a healthier diet for her and have been reading thru this thread. As mentioned, not so much recent activity so im thinking info may be dated & hoping for some updated advice / recommendations ?? She has been eating Merrick Grain Free Dry (also some healthy home cooking) but grain free now seems to be an issue. I was considering Artemis, but I see they source from China & Im not comfortable w/ that at all... more of a difficult decision than I had realized
