| Allergies Is anyone else's dog bothered by allergies? My two for the past few days have been sneezing and my Shih Tzu, Lucky sounds like he's hacking up a hairball sometimes. Rudy has never been bothered by allergies since we've had him and Lucky, I just don't know since he's my rescue. Today I gave them each a half tablet of a Childrens Benadryl. My sister gives her dog that for his allergies and her dog is within 3 lbs of both of mine. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Pixie has been very nasal congested sounding. I never thought about it possibly being allergeries. She goes to the vet tomorrow for shots and heartworm so I will ask them.

| " Thanks " Patti. Would you mind letting me know what the vet says about Pixie? Good Luck Pixie at your vet appointment tomorrow. Hope your shots don't hurt.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | dogs do get allergies just like people. They can be seasonal and pollen related, or they can be year round. If its pollen related there are medications the vet can prescribe for your dogs, or you can discuss using only benadryl. The benadryl does make them sleepy tho.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali scaratches her head and face all of the time and I had the allergy testing done and she came back not allergic to anything they tested for. They gave me pills that don't help at all. As soon as I get Maya's Cushings disease taken care of I am taking Cali to the specialist. Pixie just seems conjested not itching.

| How much does it cost to have them tested for allergies? Ralfie seems itchy sometimes and also sneezes sometimes alot, and I think he may have an allergy to something, but I don't know what. I'd like to have him tested so that if he does, I can isolate the problem and make sure he's comfortable.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | It was 258.00 for the Heska allergy test. WHicj tested food and environmental allergies. Of course nothing showed up that she was remotely allergic too so I am still at square 1.

| Thanks! That must be frustrating, I'm sorry to hear they couldn't find the source of the problem I hope it works out for you. I think I'll speak to Ralfie's vet and see if he thinks testing is necessary.
