| Diet and Poo Problems??? Hi!!! For a couple of months all I fed my Kobe was Eukanuba puppy food...and he pooped ALL the time...and the spell was deadly! When I went home for spring break (2 wks ago) I ran out of food and my mom bought Kibbles N Bits...his poo changed to a light brown/orange color (like the food) and it had NO SMELL!! Now that I'm back home, I switched his food to Royal Canine for Yorkies. Once again his poo is deadly smelling. Is there a link here? Does this mean that Kibbles and bits is healthier. Mind you, the only reason that the smell is a problem is because I'm training him on Pee Pee pads, and Im tired of my apartment smelling like sewage when he uses the restroom. |

| You may be switching the food too quickly and no...kibbles and bits is in no way a healthy food! Here's a link to another thread on YT that discusses dog food scores...the ones with the higher scores are the better foods. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64979 We used to feed Innova but switched to Nature's Variety raw and I also (currently) use Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance dry kibble which is an excellent food...it can be bought at Petco and it's not too pricey. We didn't have any smelly issues with Innova and we don't with the foods we use now either. I think the smell comes from ingredients like corn and lots of fillers...with a better food you won't have that and they will only go once or twice a day, it will be firm and easy to clean up. Good luck finding a good food for your baby..... |

| I have read several reviews on Natural Balance Duck & Potato or NB Venison & Brown Rice and they all seem to have positive feedback, esp. on the whole poop issue.
