| Now they are saying NO WHEAT! Up until today, all I had heard to avoid was products containing wheat gluten. This morning I got an email from Dogster and the staff article there states no products containing WHEAT or WHEAT GLUTEN. This throws my Royal Canin in to the mix of unhealthy foods from what I can tell. This is so confusing for those of us trying to feed our dogs a healthy diet. I was going to switch from Royal Canin anyway because of the 1 star rating on the dogfoodanalysis.com website but was waiting to finish the bag. Now I think I'll be going to either Canidae or Fromms, both well rated foods and both carried by my local pet store. I would try making their food if I was comfortable that they were getting everything they needed for good nutrition. Anyway, thought I should pass this new info on.

| I'm not stopping Royal Canin just yet. A friend of mine has been in contact with them and they assure us that their food is fine. It's processed right here in MO. I'm trying not to jump to any conclusions right now.

| This is the email I got from Dogster. Pet-Food Recall Update Most recently, rat poison and other chemicals have been found in the recalled Menu Foods pet food. This has effected more than 50 brands of dog food and 40 brands of cat food. Over 3,000 pets have been reportedly killed in this tragedy and it's believed more dangerous food may still be on the shelves. For the most up-to-date info on this serious situation, regularly check the Dogster Community Blog where all details are being shared faster then any newspaper.

| IMO, you need to pick a food that is not only free of WHEAT GLUTEN, but free of ALL GLUTEN. Glutens include barley, rye, and wheat. I am pretty sure that Fromms contains barley, although I could be mistaken. |
