| We Need Help....badly my mom and i need help and we need it fast. here is our scenario: we have an 11week old male and an 11month old female. we got him when he was 5weeks old and it has now been 7weeks and we think she is pregnant which isnt too good bc our vet said she should not be bred bc she is only 3lbs. and he is 2lbs right now they are both supposed to be tcups. we think they bred bc when we got him she was in heat and was trying to get him to mate and she just got out of heat 2 weeks ago and now my mom says she might be pregnant she has always been lovable and everything but now she is so loveable i cant even stand it anymore. she is constanlty sleeping and her belly has gotten more firm and her tits are looking like they are gathering milk. if you need any other info pls just tell me but we need to know soon if this is even possible and if she is pregnant. pls help |

| Very possible males are able to physically do the deed as soon as they are weaned and females can become pregnant from the first season. You have puppies giving birth to puppies not a good situation. I would go to the vet as soon as possible and see what can be done |

| Your female is too small but at least the male is smaller. The pups should be small for her then. I would get some guidance from your vet and a breeder mentor if you can find one.

| The male is smaller by 1 lb only because he is only 11 weeks old....seems like he will turn out to be larger then the 3 lb female....I would think that is concern for major complications

| I would go to vet and see if there is still time for her to be spayed. It seems too risky. All the best. |

| Spaying will abort the pups and sterilise her. You say you don't want to abort the pups but this is a major problem for the mum you must seek vetinary help and be guided by them. |

| I think more then anything you should be going to your vet ASAP...to see what your options are and what their opinion is...if she is not pregnant...I would advise getting her spayed immediately seeing how the boy is still very little...GOOD LUCK |

| Mother of 2 & Daughter If she is pregnant it should not be a problem, Your Vet will probably suggest a cesceran but an xray will tell if the puppies will be to big to have without. My daughter breeds the small Yorkies but most do need cesceran delivery. Her bigest problem is after delivery, sometimes the Mom's don't want anything to do with the babies and very hard to hand raise babies no bigger then a field mouse but can be done. She usually has another small dog more then willing to take them on. Her smallest Momma was 3.5lbs. She hated being preg. and did not want anything to do with the babies, she had 3 healthy beautiful little bundles of joy all raised by a another little dog who had lost her babies. My daughter is a very successful breeder of small dogs but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. I personally got to see her in action last week with the birth of yorkies and was very impressed especially since one of them came out having a hard time breathing having been in the birth canal to long. He is doing fine now thanks to my daughters quick action and knowledge. If your little girl is expecting it will be a very rewarding experience butI also agree with the other writers, you need the advice and help of your vet. |
