I have stopped giving them Nupro and her Red Tears have stopped WOW, I don't know what was in the Nupro to be causing this, but I am happy her tears are now clear! |

| I think I'd read on here before that some foods will do this. Congratulations on getting red stains to stop! |

| That is really scary! I wonder what "magical secret" ingredient they put in some of these "premium" high priced dog foods. I am so very glad that Roxy is all better now. |

| I have NO IDEA what in the world is in Nupro that could have caused it? From what I have read, Nupro is a great supplement. I heard it is better than Missing Link. But it was doing terrible things to poor Roxy. It is night and day now. Her tears are clear and she barly tears now. When she was on the Nurpo Supplement her eye were constantly tearing, like the faucet was running non stop. I have trimmed her eye hair really short to get the stained hair off. I am cleaning her eyes everyday with warm water wash cloth and also with some saline solution, b/c she has some sore spots from those red tears. The sore spots are a little crusty, I will keep watching them and if they don't look better by Friday, I will bring her to the Vet. |

| Maybe it has too much fiber for her. Believe it or not, I have heard that too much fiber in dogs causes this and eyesight problems.............who knows. I am so glad she clearing up. It might take a few more days before it gets out of her system completely.

| Yes, but it has to do with too much fiber.

What kind of NuPro were you using and how many scoops a day? I use the Nupro supplement and my puppy gets the "goo" on his eyes every day. I think most yorkies get this goo in their eyes, is just a matter of cleaning up and avoid the build up. Boomer is almost 7lbs now and the recommend amount per day it's 2 scoops per day, but I only give him 1 anyways. I'm happy the way his coat looks and it's very silky. | |
