| growing and growing and growing....... My Starsky just went to the vet and got his 3rd distemper shot. This time he didn't have a reaction because he was given benedryl before hand. He doesn't get his rabies until I see signs of his grown up teeth coming in at the top. It may be a few more weeks yet. He has grown so fast, he went from 2.5 lbs from his last visit 6 weeks ago to 5.0 lbs!!!! I am worried he is getting so big. Mom is 6 lbs and dad is 4 lbs. Is this normal for him to get bigger than his parents? He is 15 weeks now, will he slow down?? I'll still love him just the same. But I am shocked at his weight and he doesn't look fat at all!

| When my pup was 3.5 months old, he was barely over 2lbs. By the time he was 6 months old, he was a little over 6lbs. He's not fat at all though. Now, at 13 months, he's a little over 8lbs, and he looks great. It has to do with his body structure, I guess. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Possible that he could be a throw back. I've heard of these...usually faults that show up that the parents don't have. I'm not saying at all that a large yorkie is a fault...just could be a throw back. Point in question. Momma dog 4 1/2 lbs, dad 3 lbs. Male pup full grown 6+ lbs. |

| That is intresting. My dog Kelsey is a yorkie-poo and weighs 6.4lbs now @ 6 months. She is long though...and has long legs haha. So she doesnt really feel or look big! Weird!
