| Eating off the floor My babies are weird. I free feed them...they have their food in their bowls...yesterday...I went to get them some treats and Maximus the youngest jumped up and landed on one of the bowls and the food went everywhere...and they went crazy...eating all the food that was on the floor. I was like...ok...this is weird...so I put more food on the floor and they ate every last piece. Is this normal? |

| Mackenzie does the same thing..she'd rather I place pieces of food on the floor for her to attack one by one, then eat out of her bowl

| I do believe that everything with a Yorkie is normal. Maggie's favorite dish to eat out of is MY cupped hand. Haven't figured out how to hold her water for her in my hand. |

| Thank you Dawn. I have tried and tried to get a close up of Maggie, but all she wants to do is lick the lens. So I decided to take this route until I can glue Maggie's butt to the floor. |

| Tiny does that too or else he likes for me to spoon feed him, i dont see anything wrong with it maybe they just like walking around and 'hunting' for food instead of having it put out for them.

| Unless u want a messy floor...don't let it be a habit Quote:
My yorkies love to be hand fed...in fact to the point where Pochi won't eat unless I feed it to him by hand. He can get so lazy even with dog treats, he won't eat them unless I break it up into bite sized pieces for him(which is my fault since I started doing that for him and so does everyone else in the family). I'm trying to stop doing that for him since he's been getting such bad tartar build up on his teeth and they say have him chew on a greenie or such and of course he wouldn't do that unless l broke it up for him. Now that we have 2 other yorks running around competing for treats he more often will break up his own treats himself. Look at how we cater to our babies. hehe
