| Shaking Hi everyone. Recently, about four days ago, Remy started shaking quite a bit. It happens a lot when mom or I hold him while standing up (he calms down when on our lap) and while in his crate. For example, tonight he was periodically shaking inside his crate. He's also become more whiny and wakes up quite often at night, which hasn't been the case ever since we got him. He seems to be eating and drinking just fine. No other behavioral changes as far as I can see. The only thing of significance that happened during the past four days is mom's husband visiting from NYC (they are in the process of relocating to FL). He has not been very considerate of the puppy's schedule and was rather loud (slamming doors, turning up TV, etc.) during the night when he couldn't sleep. Prior to this visit and the associated disturbances, Remy had been sleeping just fine. Could this be related to his current behavior? Could shaking indicate a serious health problem in the context that it is happening? |

| Its most likely from nervousness. My Jewels shakes when the vaccum is on or when My Daughter is too loud etc.

| Mine shakes as well---vaccing, new situations and last night: Meg Ryan's voice! I was watching, French Kiss, and it's like he found her voice very disturbing. |

| Shaking I agree it could be stress form the change in the household. I would give him Nutrical twice a day until everythings back to normal.

| Same thing happened with Max 2 weekends ago, and I know we got puppies from the same breeder. We were cleaning out the garage & hubby wasn't paying attention & the wind caught the door slamming it. Now Max is afraid of every little noise. He runs & starts shaking. Our hot tub kicks on, he runs into the bedroom under the bed. Any loud noise it scares him. What I have been doing is, when he takes off, I run to him comforting him. Sitting on the floor, telling him it's ok. I even pick him up & bring him to where the noise is, holding him & petting him. He is getting better, but he is still skittish. I think it will just take time to get used to loud noises. I did read that your supposed to get them used to as many noises as possible between 12 weeks & 16 weeks. I guess we didn't. We don't normally slam doors. LOL Hope he ends up getting better, I'm sure he will.

| Thank you so much, guys. I was getting a bit worried, since he's never done that before (only saw him shake once when it was a bit too chilly outside for him). There was definitely door slamming going on this weekend His schedule is all out of whack now, plus the whining at night is highly problematic, but he is healthy and happy otherwise. Hopefully he'll get back on track soon. Some people have no respect for others' household rules. |
