| I have heard to feed them green beans when you are dieting them. They fill them up

| Is your Yorkie 7+ pounds because she is chubby or are you trying to reduce her weight because you were told she is supposed to be 5-6 pounds? If she is chubby, try feeding her 3 to 4 times a day verses 1 or 2. It speeds up her metabolism. Take her out for more exercise and yes, the green beans will help - get the UNsalted canned beans. If she is not chubby - then don't diet! Some Yorkies just are larger no matter what you were told she should be.

| Then diet and exercise away! Jazzie was about a pound overweight so I changed how often she eats to three time a day instead on one, and our walks are now "Power Walks" it took me longer to get in shape for the fast paced walk then it did her! Now we go twice as far in the same amount of time (if we don't get stopped by the neighbors who loves to say Hello to Jazzie) I've got her down to where she needs to be and she's keeping the weight off.

| I just took Misha in to the Vet. She is a couple of pounds over weight. The Vet said a couple of pounds for them is like 15 for us. He said extra green beans, no treats. More walks. Cut out the apples to much sugar. Vegetables, chicken. They don't eat much of their food. Smaller meals, more frequent. Sounds to me it's like if we wanted to lose weight.
