YT Addict | Gidgets mom Hi i'm Gidgets mommy. She is the cute one standing in the basket in the photo gallery. Well she is 15 months old now and had one heat. She only weighs two lbs, so of course we never plan to breed her. The problem is that Monday she is scedualed for spaying. Ok, we are terrified that something could go wrong. Does anyone know how risky the surgery is? Her Daddy, my hubby, is reluctant on having the surgery for fear of something bad happening to her. I've heard that if you don't breed and don't have them spayed that it could cause cancer. Would appreciate anyones advice, cause she is our baby girl. |

YT Addict | Gidget Well noone replied to my first thread and we left Gidget at the vets today for spaying. If anything happens to her it will kill us. She is our baby. Will let everyone know how she is tomorrow. I am a over protective mommie. |

| There have been plenty of little ones that got spayed. Probably if you look in the search archives, you can find some info. As long as your vet is experienced with little ones....don't worry, all will be fine. My prayers are with you. Let us know how she does. |

| I hope everything is ok and as far as cancer spaying reduces the risk of cancer.

YT Addict | Gidget Hello everyone, We picked up our little darling first thing this morning. She was so happy to see me and her daddy. on the way home she kept going from me to him and giving us kisses. She wants to play grr grr with her worn out green sock already. I hid it , was afraid she might hurt herself or bust the stitches loose. Thank Goodness this is over and now she want ever have to go into heat or wear that diaper again.Thank everyone for your support. Our little doggies seem to be the best things in our life besides our children and grandchildren. They all live out of state and thats how we got involved with the yorkies in the first place. Gidget and her mommie Sugar are like our daughters. They have been there for me when i needed them. Kept my sanity many times. My husband feels the same way. What a blessing they are. Thanks Everyone. |

| Duke and I are happy to hear that Gidget's surgery went well, and that she is feeling like herself again.
