Outcome after Neutering

My furbaby has been neutered 3 weeks ago, he seem to be worse than before he was neutered.

Barking: Since after he is neutered he has been barking more than before when i leave the house. He does get a doggie treat before i leave the house. I would stand at the door and he will take the treat and walk to the other end of the room where is bed is and start chewing away... He will look at me while i walk out and continue chewing away. After he is done and when my aunt walks out from upstairs, he starts barking like crazy nonstop and ongoing till she comes downstairs to my floor and yell at him NO!. Could this be anxiety? I had bought this product from PetEdge called (Farnam Comfort Zone w/DAP Plug In) http://www.petedge.com/shopping/prod...=1&itemID=2851
I am waiting it for it to come. They said "Comfort Zone for dogs reduces or eliminates barking, indoor soiling, chewing and anxiety). Has anyone tried it. I do really really really hope it works.

Potty: When i come home from work I would find puddle of pee on the floor not on the pad and poops in some area (not in one spot). When i am home and when he goes to the potty pad, he will look at me and i will look at him and he would pee in the pad. Does anyone has this problem.

What is the purpose of him being neutered other than health issue.

Sorry your have such problems with you little one.
I have in the past used the Comfort Zone plug in. I found it helped
however it's not a magic cure alone. You have to work at him barking
when you leave on a continous basis. Buddy did not stop until around
6mos ago and he is 3yrs old. I tried everything from a barking devise,
comfort zone and finally pennies in a can. The last seem to break the
habit completely. Put several pennies in a can (soda, beer) and shake
it shaprly when he barks when you leave. If you are outside and hear
him you must go back up open the door and shake can saying no barking.
Eventually it will work. You can use it inside when he barks as well.
The more you use it the faster he will catch on.

Potty problems: I can't help you there. Buddy was trained to go
outside potty only and that's what he does.

You'll have to let us know how the "comfort plug in" thing works. It sounds like a great idea, because Dobby get's a lot of anxiety when we come and go (does potty not on pee pad- mostly #2) when we're gone. I'd like to order one- but don't want to spend all that money if it doesn't work.

I hear ya. I will try it and let you know if this does work. Problem is that when i leave the house i dont hear him. When my cuz comes home from skool cuase he lives on the 2nd floor he starts barking like crazy non stop. So i'll try this and hope it works.

He's probably "pissed" off. Just kidding. Max is also peeing all over. It's because he got into the habit while he was marking so now I have to retrain him.

He doesn't bark more in the house, but I've noticed that he barks more when he sees another dog he doesn't know.

The vet told me that it can take up to 3 months before the hormones leave their bodies, so the humping should stop. My little guy not only stopped humping Teddy Bear, but now takes him in his mouth and plays with him. Poor Teddy's fur is ripping. Talk about "boom bam, thank you ma'am!"

Thanks Judy for your response. We'll the product did come but i dont see any improvement yet. The direction said it will take a month to see progress. I guess we'll have to see.

My furbaby loves to take its toy and start shaking it round then if i dont see him he will start humping on it till i catch it in action and say "NO, BAD BOY". hahaha. I'll let you all know how the comfort zone work in a couple of weeks.

my maltese mix was neutered last week, he now barks alot more too, when we go up stairs or come down, or someone comes in or at a shadow!...
I say no max and he stops for the moment.... he is better at 1 thing though, he doesnt pee on the floor anymore he waits to go outside and even lets us know he has to go by dancing around in a circle. he was housetrained but always would mark this 1 area in the kitchen no matter what i cleaned it with....
