| It does take a full month for the hormones to cycle out of their system after neutering. If you don't want him to continue this behavior, you need to punish him whenever he does this. By the way, WELCOME to YorkieTalk! |

| My Rudy is almost 10 months old and he was neutered at 6 months of age. Every now and then he still wants to hump. We just push him off and that usually stops that behavior. I know you have a girl Yorkie, but hopefully this information will help you whether it's a boy or a girl. Rudys Mom (Dawn) |

usually by 10 months, females(males too i guess) will have had their first period already(aka heat)-if minnie was neutered after that, it does take the hormones to "cycle" out like my fellow YT talker mentioned. however, females do hump because they want to show dominance to other dogs. If you do not want that to carry on, I suggest say "bad" or "no" when you see Minnie doing it. It will eventually stop. I experienced this first hand with all my dogs. Even though somtiems i see them humping when I spy on them on my babycam, i don't say bad to them unless they do it in front of me hope this helps take care!

| I fostered a 3 yr old poodle that had been spayed a couple years but she would still hump the heck out of stuffed animals we thought it was holarious, buut it would be different if it was your arm, lol. Just redirect her the first time, turn her a round & lay her on your lap, pet her. If she tries again tell her no & repeat above, again tell her no & put her down. She is just in love with you |

| Chachi still humped his teddy bear sometimes after he was neutered. I just started telling him no when he did it and took the bear away and he started doing it less frequently. Now he doesnt do it at all

| Pheobe was neutered at 6 month old, she is 10 month now and she will hump my husband and me sometimes specially when she is playing and is veryyyy happy. Cesar Milan (dogwhisper) said that is dominant behavior. I just tell her NO in a firm way and she stop. |

| I think this problem gets worse the older they are, correct? We have a collie mix shelter rescue that wasn't neutered till he was over a year old, and he still acts like he's a little stud. It's been over a year and he still humps our other dogs and marks his territory everywhere (outside, at least). I think it's just wishful thinking on his part. |

| We had our toy poodle neutered over a year ago and he still gets behind Dolly (yorkie and spayed) and does the humping thing. We tell him to stop and he quits. |

| Piccolo was a crazy humper and it took about 2 monhs after neutering he stopped doing it. So, don't worry - she'll calm down.
