| I think duck is the best but lamb is good also. I would not get the one with chicken in it because some dogs with allergies are allergic to chicken

| Besides itching, how do you know they have allergies? Im really frustrated! Ive posted on other established threads but my 13 week old has been on antibiotics and she has a bad cough. SHe got better but now worse. She usually has "episodes." I feel if I take her back to the Vet, nothing will be done except more antibiotics.

| The best food for allergies is a food with a single protein and a single fiber source. The best proteins for allergies are Duck and Fish. The best fiber sources are Sweet Potatoes and Potatoes. If your dog has allergies, the very best foods that are recommended are Natural Balance Duck & Potato and Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish. You can get both of those at PetCo. Many dogs are allergic to what I like to call "the big 4," which are soy, corn, wheat (including barley & rye), and dairy. When a dog is fed a food that includes any of these ingredients, they also tend to develop allergies to the rest of the ingredients in the food, i.e. chicken or lamb. Therefore, it is best in cases of allergies to completely change ingredients to something that contains ingredients that were NOT in the food you were previously feeding...i.e. Duck, Sweet potato, fish. Hope this helps. |
