| Yorkie Food Allergy Question Hi. I have a 10 month old yorkie who has some flaky skin near her ears. Her skin has been becoming more and more itchy all over her body as well. I have taken her to the vet, who says it could just be the dry heat in my apartment and the time of year. I have been reading a lot of the posts about how this could also be a food allergy. Many suggest Nutro, which is what I switched her over to from Eukanuba a few months ago...but I think that the itching started when I switched her. I feed her Nutro Max Puppy...which lists corn gluten meal as the second ingredient...I have read that dogs may have allergies to corn. Is there another Nutro that I could feed her that does not have corn it it?? |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Try wellness, Merricks, or Innova Evo. These are all great foods with little to no corn in it. my yorkie has been on all of these and she's never had any itching problems. She's now on Innova becuase she loves the meaty flavor. i've never seen her gobble up food as fast before and she's quite the piggy.
