| What won't we do for our babies?!! Just before 3AM this morning, Toto woke me and I could tell she was worried! She had gone to her pad to poop and it was really soft and she obviously wasn't fully awake and plopped down in it!! Even with her three little "ponytails" her little rear end was a mess! No amount of bath wipes was gonna clean that mess up! So .... a little after 3 ... there we were ... both of us gagging ... and Toto getting a bath! Poor baby ... she can't stand to be dirty and I can't stand for her to be dirty!! Next was Mom, who naturally got poop on her PJ's! Then we discovered ... she sat on my comforter ... crank up the Maytag!! What a Kodak moment .... all that mess and activity at that hour of the morning!!! So ... we kinda got a jump start on our day ... and, BTW, it was my fault so I could hardly be mad at my sweetie!! I decided to have a snack before bedtime and since she had not eaten much yesterday, I gave her some pear ... about twice the amount I normally give her!! Won't be doing that again ... well, not that much! Pear is her favorite fruit! It's been a lot of years since I was up at that hour with an ailing baby ... sure brought back some memories ... but I was much younger then! It's amazing what we can do when we have to!!

| Wow what can a little fruit do! I was just going to do another post about food for our furbabys. I was wondering what kind of food is safe to give them. I put a little bit of chicken broth in some warm water for Tish to drink once in a while and I also mix one tbsp. of wet food with her dry food about a total of 1/4 cup for her to eat. Is this wise and safe for her? |

| bettyeanne: Just like an ailing child, we'd do just about anything for our babies. Glad to hear though, that you figured out what was the problem. Too much fruit just doesn't digest well in their little bodies. Just make sure it's not too salty yizzl when you give them chicken broth. We usually only feed Yoda chicken, and during special days, he gets a little other meat or hamhock or something. Wet food (for dogs) or steamed chicken isn't bad at all. |

| Hate poopies at three in the morning! Reminds me of a three AM about two weeks ago when I popped out of bed right onto a Higgins poopie on my bedroom carpet. Felt soooooo good on the bare feet. It's a good thing he's cute! |

| Glad Toto is ok. I think they know we will do about anything for our furbabies. My two come to me when a little poop stays on there hinnies, they know I will take care of it. They look at you like I know my mom will clean me. The trust and love these yorkies have for us................Cindy |

| Thanks everyone!! I guess my explaination wasn't correct .... had another episode about 5AM!! Just finished "cleanup" bath! Will be sitting on Dr. Lucy's doorstep when she gets there! I just knew yesterday was because of too much pear!! This is totally unlike Toto ... she never has runny stools!! You can practically set your watch by her poops! Definitely something going on!

| I think sometimes it takes a little bit to get bad tummy problems or bad food or indigestion out of their system, maybe as long as 2-3 days. If longer though, time for Dr. Lucy! :P If you already brought Toto in, let us know how she's doing today! |

| Thanks, fasteddie! We had a really big storm here today ... thank goodness my Patrick is always calmer than I! He suggested, since the weather was so terrible, why not talk to Dr. Lucy before making a panic trip! So ... I called and she said it was probably still residue from the pear! [since I gave her so much! ] She said watch her and give her a little yogurt. She has been fine all day!
