| Welcome to YT! I free feed mine. Since they are too busy playing and running around they never really sit there and eat their food in one sitting..they just nibble and run....they do this all day. Plus I never know who eats the most so I leave food out for them all day. I think there is a chart outside the food package that tells you what to feed them. It breaks it down by age & weight I believe. |

| Welcome!!! I do the same thing. I measure whatever amount it says on the bag for her age and weight and keep it out for the day. then i fill the bowl and just leave it out for her to eat all dat. i fill the bowl with the same cup that i measure in the morning so i can make sure she is eating the correct amount each day.

| My big dogs get fed once a day (otherwise they pork out) and the little ones are free-fed. Mine actually seem to eat less when I free feed, maybe because they aren't trying to gobble it all down at once. |

| My girls are 5 months and 8 months. They get fed at 7 am and 7pm, 1/3 cup of kibble mixed with 1/3 cup of canned, they share those meals. Then they get all the kibbles they can eat all day long. I recently cut out the midday meal because they weren't eating much of it. Before I got Izzy, I had teeny Luna and fed her 4 times daily. She had had a severe hypoglycemic episode, requiring hospitalization, when I first got her, so 4 times a day was nothing compared to the every 2 hours that we started with When these babies are young and little, it's good to feed them frequently to avoid hypoglycemic episodes. The only time I wouldn't free feed toy dogs is if they were overweight (can't feel their ribs). As long as he's playing, pooping, and happy, you're doing the right things for him
