| Bowls vs. Bottles What do you use? The breeder used a bowl for Banks, but his face gets so wet and gross I think I should use a bottle... your thoughts? |

| Maybe we should try a bottle. Luna's face gets SO wet everytime and she practically drowns herself getting a drink Girl LOVES her water Her "beard" seems to smell bad too

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Our girls used to drink out of a bowl and their face was always wet and they was water on the floor...we have now switched to a bottle and they love and we love it too. Their faces have gotten so much better and we have no more messes. I would defintely say go for a bottle if you can, the water stays fresher and cleaner longer.

| The fresher longer thing has gotten my attention, thanks! I change their water in the kitchen several times a day. They love to dig a little when we go out to potty and play, so then when they drink, it's all sandy on the bottom of the bowl, ewwww! Not to mention that Luna thinks that it's her own personal wash basin

| Anyone know the best way to go from bowl to bottle? I think I'm going to pick up a couple tomorrow. One for the xpen (nighttime) and one for the kitchen.

i bought 2 also. i was worried about training him to use it but i couldnt get the thing on good and he started licking it so i went ahead and removed his bowl. no problems. they say to smear it with peanut butter or cottage cheese or something to get them to start licking it.

| Wow, a bottle sounds like a better way to go for a couple of reasons to me too. There are always water drops all over by their dish and their faces are always wet. Gin's breeder used one, too. But where to hang it? When I am home, they are not in their crates. And the ones I see on-line all have crate attachments. And somewhere I read that they shouldn't have water in their crates because they drink and then need to go outside. Would it be mean to hang it on the outside of the crate? Those of you that have them, where are they hanging?

| great! thanks so much! Here's my only concern: his crate is in my bedroom, which is very close to his gated area, but is not inside his gated area. Can I attach a bottle to the wall or to one of the gates? |
