| baby shots a friend of mine got a yorkie for Christmas and she said that he didn't have any of his puppy shots. she said that her pet insurance doesn't kick in till Feb. is it ok to wait till Feb to get the shots or should she go ahead and pay for them now? i think she should go ahead and get them but i'd thought i ask ya'll to see what ya'll think too. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I would recommend she get the puppy his shots. The shots protect the puppy from parvo, lyme diseaste, etc. She can't take the puppy anywhere until it has shots--not to the pet store, the groomer, etc. The puppy's immune system may be compromised--and the puppy could get sick and die--the protection passed on from the mother only lasts about 8 weeks. She should go to the Humane Society and get the shots done. |
