My furkids Donating Member | just bought some bully pretzels...have a question Hi Guys! I finally bought the girls a couple of bully pretzels...I am assuming they are the same a bully sticks but in the shape of a pretzel...It did't say on the tag what they are made of...are these beef tendons? They smell like a slim jim LOL! How long is it ok for them to chew on them? I know they can't break off peices and, it gets kinda gooey..If they eat that is it ok? Again....I am assuming these are 100% digestable as the store I bought them from doesn't have items that aren't good for dogs...I need some info on these please as the girls are munching away as I type! Thanks everyone

| Bully sticks are bull penises so I imagine bully pretzels are too. Flossies are tendons. They are digestable so I dont worry if mine chew them up

| No they wont choke on them and they wont get sick from chewing on them. bully sticks and flossies are the safest chewies you can give your dogs. I let mine chew on them untill the whole thing is mushy then I throw it away

| We just bought a 3 packs of the bully pretzels for Bella, and she won't even touch them! I was kind of ticked because she's very treat picky to begin with, but she's always loved the bully stix. Then I buy the 3 pack of pretzels (for $10.00!) and she wants nothing to do with them. Ugh!!! |

| Jaxon is a BIG time chewer and LOVES his flossies. He'll sit and chew one for hours - often until it's all gone. No problems ever, and he hasn't gotten sick from them. I only gave him the bully sticks twice since I couldn't stand the smell!

| I have yet to find anything that Kiki likes to chew on that is made for dogs. He likes to chew on everything else, but items I buy from the pet store. So, if anyone knows of any other items that I haven't tried, please let me know. I've bought bully sticks, and some rawhide items (making sure to watch him carefully) but, he does not chew on them long at all.

| That is interesting . I thought all bullysticks were bull penises. My Husband likes mine to chew on the flossies since they are tendons but I have also bought them bully sticks. Mine didnt stink but I got natural rather than smoked so I dont know if that made a difference

| I think they probably are -- it just sounds better to call them tendons. That thing is a tendon. I am glad mine don't smell strong -- there is a little smell if you really get up close but not even as much as kibble. I guess I won't worry which tendon they are made of as long as the dogs like them and they are good for them
