| how can this be!?!? i took gidget in this past saturday to be dewormed by the vet tonight i saw live tape worm!! im freaking out! she is not potty trained yet and i have a 2 year old!! im worried he is going to catch it and now i also mad because i pay 20 bucks for the vet to just deworm her and now she has tape worms!! im taking her straight to the vet in the morning but god i am so aggervated, first my one of my brand ne w tires blow out that 150.00 down the drain now this is another 50-100 all my xmas money is almost gone...sorry venting but so frustrated!!! |

| Regular worm meds do not kill tape worms. You do need to get with your vet about picking up some meds for the little wormies, though. You might also check Gidget for fleas.... they get tape worms from ingesting a flea that is carrying tape worm larvae |

| i've seen her scratch but i havent seen any fleas i just wish there was something i could give her right now!! (worms creep me out, im a baby)i guess tomorrow i will go straight to the vet get good dewormer and flea meds for all the dogs, will the vet give me dewormer for my other two? they are 10month and one is 4 years old do you think they might have it too?? i havent seen any but this afternoon i noticed that remmie (10months old ) had either vomited or had diahrea all over the kitchen. ughh and i am so scared my baby (skin baby) will get the tapeworms, or us. she is all over the furntiure and is really kissy..im getting sick just thinking about it |

| I can understand your frustration. I am having the same problem right now.Not tapeworms, roundworms or a mixture I think. *sigh*

| I always get worm meds from my vet, i have never tried over the counter stuff - i have heard worms can make them very sick, i don't take chances. |

| When my puppies are dewormed , some of the worms are alive and some are dead when they pass out . It can take a few days before all is over depending of the quantity they have . Oh ! excuse if the anwer seems a little hurk . |

| you'll have to get a pill for tapeworms the liquid meds do not kill tape worms

| yup.. i took her to the vet just now and they gave her the pill and 2 extra pills for later, plus some revolution thanks for everyones help |
