| Max's teeth cleaning appt tomorrow Max has to go to the vet to have his teeth cleaned tomorrow. I've tried brushing and all kinds of stuff to clean his teeth but nothing is removing the tartar on his molars so the vet has to do it tomorrow. I know that having a teeth cleaning is a routine procedure and I shouldn't worry that something could happen to him but I do . I hope he'll be ok...

| You really need to check out my post in this section for Petzlife! That stuff is great on their teeth. I've seen a huge improvement since last month when I started it. I posted before pics too. But you need to know, that first month, they suggest spraying it 2 times a day in the mouth, and I only did it once a day. But still there is a huge improvement! Many here highly recommended it, so I ordered it. Something else, I don't want to ever run out of!! |

| I've tried the Petzlife. He HATES the spray so I'm probably missing the back of his mouth which is the part that REALLY needs it. I didn't see much difference with the gel. I also tried the petrodex poultry toothpaste, which he really likes. I'm hoping that after he gets his teeth cleaned I can use these products and they will prevent the tartar from forming because all the stuff I tried would not get rid of the tartar he has. I know that yorkies are prone to tartar buildup and have teeth issues but Abbie doesn't seem to have the same problem as Max. Obviously the products are working for her because she has MINIMAL tartar and EXTREMELY FRESH breath compared to Max. I guess little guy just has bad genes By the way--I did see your post about the petzlife. I'm glad you've had success with it. Max is just STUBBORN in every possbile way...but I still love him to pieces

| Hi, Sweetie got her teeth cleaned today, too. She hates the PetzLife stuff as well (it's the mint flavor she hates - maybe your Max also). I have started her on a program called Ora-Vet (www.oravet.com). It's some kind of sealant that you put on once a week with a swab - evidently you just have to get it close and their saliva distributes it (like PetzLife). It's not too expensive ($27 for 8(or 16 sez my vet) weeks worth). If it saves them from having to anesthesize her to clean her teeth it will be well worth it. Hope Max did well with his vet visit as well. Cyndi |

Max let me brush his teeth with the Petzlife gel but he would not let me get in there with the spray. I also used the petrodex poultry enzymatic toothpaste which HE LOVES. I'll continue to use what I have until I run out. Then maybe I'll try the ora-vet
