Kibbles and bits is not a very good dog food. You should really be feeding a quality food...something made with human grade products...and if he needs a food that is low in protein then you should be feeding what your vet suggests.... By the way...what is p.e.i.????

| I'm in Canada, too. If you can't get what you need in your stores, you can order it on line.

| Try Innova, Canidae, Wellness, Merrick, California Natural, Solid Gold... there's lots of good brands out there. You probably do need to order online. Nothing you buy at the grocery store is going to be any good. Good luck.

| Here are the ingredients in the orignal Kibble n Bits formula: The first ingredient is corn a cheap undigestible source of protein, then followed by soy (another negative) and then another grain and finally a meat, the fat is beef (preferably should be a fish oil), animal digest (gross), salt (another negative), sorbic acid as a preservative (Vitamin E much better), then the added dyes is a negative). This is a really bad food. If you are against ordering online then look at Purina Pro Plan Select - it's not the very best, but it's far superior to this and is available in grocery stores. Here's a link for a free sample: http://www.proplan.com/selects/GetPa...2457&T=3628405 INGREDIENTS: Corn, soybean meal, ground wheat flour, beef & bone meal, animal fat (BHA used as preservatives), corn syrup, wheat middlings, water sufficient for processing, animal digest (source of chicken flavor), propylene glycol, salt, hydrochloric acid, potassium chloride, caramel color, sorbic acid (used as a preservative), sodium carbonate, choline chloride, minerals (ferrous sulfate, zinc oxide, manganous oxide, copper sulfate, calcium iodate, sodium selenite), vitamins (vitamin E supplement, niacin supplement, vitamin A supplement, d-calcium pantothenate, riboflavin supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin D3 supplement, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement), calcium sulfate, titanium dioxide, yellow 5, red 40, yellow 6, BHA (used as a preservative), dl-methionine. Ingredients for Pro Plan Selects Adult: Turkey, brewers rice, corn gluten meal, chicken meal (natural source of glucosamine), pearled barley, animal fat preserved with mixed-tocopherols (form of Vitamin E), oat meal, dried egg product, pea fiber, dried beet pulp, fish oil, natural flavor, potassium chloride, calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, salt, dried tomatoes, blueberry pomace, dried sweet potatoes, choline chloride, L-Lysine monohydrochloride, zinc proteinate, manganese proteinate, ferrous sulfate, Vitamin E supplement, niacin, copper proteinate, Vitamin A supplement, calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin supplement, Vitamin B-12 supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, garlic oil, folic acid, Vitamin D-3 supplement, calcium iodate, biotin, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), sodium selenite. |

| Do you have a feed store -- we live in a small town in BC and have to get our dog food at a local feed store we use the Natural Choice -- Lamb and Rice. |

| My vet also wanted me to feed Piccolo Science Diet and gave a free bag but first of all it has corn - so I didn't want to give it to him and second of when I put a few kibbles in his dish - he didn't even touch them. I feed Piccolo Canidae and he loves it. You can buy it in Canada.

| Science Diet is no better than what you were feeding - corn first ingredients, meat by-products, soy. No one who knows dog food can understand why vets recommend it (the rumor is that Hill's donates a lot of money to veterinary schools), but the ingredients speak for themselves. Since you don't want to order online - Were you able to find the Purina Pro Selects? |

| It looks like this store carries Canidae. Maybe they carry others. It looks kind of far for you but a 5lb bag lasts me almost 2 months so you wouldn't have to go often. Maybe give them a call? Global Pet Foods 405 University Ave Charlottetown PEI C1A 4N7 902 368-1326
