I could use some help with I could use some help with my Yorkie's tongue. Silly is 9 years old, and she has lost nearly all teeth on the left side of her jaw. Her tongue is out most of the time, and gets very, very dry. Does anybody else have this problem, and, if so, what are you doing to help your Yorkie? Thanks for any input.

I have no experience in this whatsoever, but I have a suggestion and it might be stupid. what about having a spray bottle with water and you can spray her tongue every now and then. Probably not the greatest idea, but?

Doesn't sound stupid at all. This doesn't seem to hurt her in any way, but it sure LOOKS like it hurts. One thing we have tried is to put vaseline on the tongue. She accepts this pretty well, but I don't know what is a safe amount for her to ingest. This is puzzling.
