| Merrick Foods Folks, I realized I kept talking about the food, and I never gave you any data. The Buffalo is highlighted in bold below. Feliz likes the buffalo, and the cowboy cookout. The links are below, the ingredients, and the cost. I feed this about 3 times a week. The rest of the time she has her dry kibble from Royal Canin small puppy with missing link. http://www.waggintails.com/programs/merrick.htm Open a can and you can see every ingredient! A Gourmet Menu, utilizing whole ingredients like chunks of fresh meats, vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Merrick canned dinners are free of any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. ** Napa Valley Picnic and Campfire Trout are a pate style, while the rest are a canned stew. The flavors speak for themselves: Wingaling Nutty brown rice simmered in savory gravy that naturally marinates these delicious chicken wings on the bone to add flavor. Wilderness The original flavor of Buffalo, the untamed taste of Venison and the bold fresh taste of Salmon all mixed together for an excursion of the palate. Campfire Trout With trout, yukon gold potatoes, carrots, zucchini, and fuji apples. Napa Valley Picnic With duck, brown rice, carrots, spinach, sugar peas, and golden apples. Cowboy Cookout With beef, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, and granny smith apples. Mediterranean Banquet With lamb, brown rice, chick peas, spinach, and golden delicious apples. Grammy’s Pot Pie With chicken, red jacket new potatoes, carrots, snow peas, and red apples. Thanksgiving Day Dinner With turkey, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans and granny smith apples. | Archie had a problem with eating Merrick...it tasted good, but it was too rich for him. But then, I found out that Merrick also makes a low grade dog food under the name "beef n more." I can't be sure that the meat they put in Merrick is top quality. Plus, if all these ingredients were really that good, I doubt that they could sell it for the price that they do. Bottom line is that I just don't trust the company. |
