| How much exercise for yorkies? Hi everybody, I have a question about the amount of exercise for a yorkie. I have an 8 lb. 2 year old male (neutered) Yorkie that I love dearly. My question is--how do you know when you've walked your Yorkie too far or too much? My sister is visiting & we have been doing a lot of walking. Buddy just loves it & practically runs the whole way! I'm just worried because I think he aims to please & would run & run until his heart gave out. He is just fine this morning & I know I'm a worrywart, but how can you tell? My sister has chocolate labs & they run out in front of her & she can tell they're tired when they come back & walk right by her side (which hardly ever happens with them). She has to take them swimming to tire them out. Thanks, Cindy & Buddy |

I Love Thor Donating Member | I think he will go until he's too tired. I have a 11lb yorkie and let me tell you he can out run anyone, any amount of distance and still have energy. I think it's great your doggie is getting so much time to run about, and walk around. I wouldn't worry too much. He'll show you when he's tired! |

| Cozy will sit down and look at me like "Are you kidding! Pick me up I am tired." She will not move if tired. Your baby will let you know when they are tired. |
