| Am I doing the right thing? Well kinda dumb of me asking this...because I know I am doing the right thing. As some of you know I decided to get Mimi spayed next month because she was just diagnosed with LP. Well I'm trying to get everything situated so they can do it on 12/21 since I'll be home for 5 days due to the holidays. Well I just called my fiancee and told him that I wanted it done on that day. Well at first he was all for it and now he is making me second guess myself. He told me what if something happens to her...mind you that is his girl. I told him she'll be fine and he was like I don't know..I just don't want nothing happening to her...made me feel like he will blame me if something were to happen. I told him she is going to be fine but he's not having it. What can I do to change his mind all over again? At this point its not about us..its about her and her health. She's his girl and he loves her to death and she's his as much as she is mine and I want us to be on the same page. I'm just so confused right now...I hate feeling like this. |

| You are doing the right thing. It is better for her health. My Peanut is getting neutered next Friday. I am having the bloodwork done just to make sure everything is ok before he goes under. I spoke to the vet last week about everything and she told me they are very cautious and monitor everything, they also treat a lot of yorkies. My fear is I don't want Peanut to have any pain or be afraid when I drop him off and they have to pry him from my arms. I have a female sheppard mix also and she was spayed 10years ago and did fine, that was before I was into the internet and reading everything I could. Does your vet accept the friends of animals of same the animals certifiates? |

I know its better for her. I think Daddy is just worried. My vet does not accept the animals certificate but I called Diane today and she gave me info and also provided me with a vet near me that accept the certificate. Does your vet accpet the cert? Or are you going somewhere else to get him fixed?

| I changed vets because mine would not let Peanut come home the same day and my breeder advised me not to have him stay the night. I called around looking for a new vet and when I decided on one they told me about the save the animals. My old vet took the friends of animals. I took Peanut a few weeks ago for a visit and his rabies shot at the new vets and I was very happy and made the appointment. My mom also has a friend whos daughter is a vet at the new place. |

| I went through this same thing with my husband when I had Cooper neutered. He knew it was best, but was so worried, even more than me. He called me after I dropped Cooper off and asked me to go get him and call it off. He almost talked me into it too. This is the man who didn't even want a dog. He says he didn't want a dog, because if something happened to them, he wouldn't be able to stand it. We now have two, a boy and a girl, and he really is the hugest worry wart ever!!

I'm glad he's not the only daddy thats like that I know he loves both but he says there is something about Mimi...I guess because she's a girl. Timmy is a mommas boy anyway. I'm sure he'll get over it...he's just nervous.

| What is LP and also what is this animal certificate that you are talking about? I have a Yorkie and Maltese that will both be ready to be spayed soon so I'm reading everything I can on the subject. It all makes me very nervous. |

| The certificates are discount on the spay/neuter. Not all vets take them. If you go to the website you can check it out friendsofanimals.org |
