Frontline Plus? This morning playing with Buddy I felt a lump in the middle of his head! I got my glasses ( the ones he chewed the other night) and put him under the lamp. Oh my goddness, A TICK! I use frontline plus every month. The tick was buried having breakfast off my Bud. I removed it with tweesers and applied neosporen to the open sore. I called the # on frontline and got an operator who asked me what kind of tick it was? Do I know! She said some ticks will not die from the medication only certain ones will. She also suggested I take it to the vet and have it tested to see if it was one that should have died! Who's paying for that bill? I was very unhappy with the outcome from frontline. Anyone else use something else that actually works? Thanks in advance. Carol & Buddy

WOW that stinks! They should be the ones to pay for the vet bill. What does the packaging say?? Does it say exactly what she told you? Well I use K9 Advantix...haven't had a problem but then again my babies don't go out much because of where I live. I'm buying a home with a big yard so when I let them out in the yard I will know how good it works

I live in a condo so he gets walked 4x daily. I have to read the package when I get home. I read the front fast and it said kills ticks in 24hrs. This tick was no where near death. Of course there may be very small print saying certain kinds can continue to eat your pet alive! That's how they get us.

Wow I have never had aproblem with frontline works great in Minnesota. But that is wierd I didn't know it only kills certain ticks. And I also think frontline should pay for the tick to be tested, I'd call and ask for a manager. Geese we pay a fortune for the stuff have faith in their product and than this.

I live in South Texas and have used Frontline Plus for years an no fleas or ticks. I am sure there could always be a one time thing with any product.
