| New to Forum & Need Advice...Felt a Lump Hi Everyone, I have had my little boy Yorkie for 3 years now, "Harry", and I just felt a smooth lump on his upper left side. It is in the middle of his back, two inches to the bottom left of his spine... It is stationary and he doesn't show discomfort at all when I press on it. Does anyone know of their Yorkies getting Lipomas or any masses in this area? He is so young... I have an appt. for tomorrow morning with his vet, but I am nervous all the same. He is overweight and I am desperately trying to reduce his food without him feeling hungry. My mom, who is an avid dog lover, said it sounds like a "fatty tumor". If anyone can help me or ease my worries tonight, I would be happy to hear from you. He is eating normally and shows no signs of illness. I am just curious if this is common even amongst Yorkies? Thanks everyone, Jenn |

| Welcome to YT! I can't help you on this one, I don't know anything about tumors in yorkies. I'm sure someone here might have some kind of info for you though! Best of luck at the vet tomorrow...

| Did he recently get a shot? Kona had a little lump on her back after receiving the rabies shot... it shocked me as it came a week after the vet visit. Good luck!!
