TREATS and SNACKS Is it okay to give a 5 month old beggin strips? Just curious. Also, what kind of snacks and treats will be best for them, and how often would you give it to them. And my last question - have you guys seen those Booda Fresh N' Brite Dog Chews bones? They come in different flavors - spearmint, peanut butter, etc. Are those okay for them? I don't want to give her anything to make her tummy upset. Thanks!

How many would be an OK amount, and when do you normally give it to them? I don't want to give them too much.

Beggin' Strips You may want to check the ingredients before feeding your dog Beggin' Strips. I visited the Purina Beggin' Strips Website: http://www.beggin.com/GetPage.aspx?C...menuitemid=247 BACON FLAVOR Ingredients Ground wheat, corn gluten meal, wheat flour, ground yellow corn, water, sugar, glycerin, soybean meal, meat, hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, bacon fat (preserved with BHA), salt, phosphoric acid, sorbic acid (a preservative), calcium propionate (a preservative), natural and artificial smoke flavors, added color (Red 40, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Yellow 6), choline chloride. O-4005 Manufactured by: Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, St. Louis, MO 63164 USA Please note: there isn't a single "Nutritious" ingredient in this product, it has artificial colors and flavors and it is preserved with a chemical preservative "BHA". Please view the video: "Truth About Pet Foods" If you want to feed your Yorkie Healthy Treats I suggest avoiding anything from Purina.

Purina dog food I have learned from Dr Jane Bicks, holistic veterinarian and food formulator, that we should always read the ingredients before feeding anything to our pets. That's why I highly recommend watching the video: "Truth About Pet Foods" It is very educational and explains what is in pet foods. After watching the video grab your bag of dog food and compare the ingredients.
