Joint Supplements? I was wondering if anyone gives joint supplements to their dogs? I got to thinking today and wondered if it would help a dog with LP if it's in the early stages...does anyone know?

My little boy has a few issues, LP and collapsing trachea. I started giving him a powder supplement sprinkled on his food, but he didnt really like it. My vet recommended Synovi G3 soft chews, their like a little treat and Pete loves them. They have Glucosamine and MSM which are supposed to help strengthen the cardilage and hopefully ward off any arthritis later in life. We've only been giving them for a few months so Im not sure long term how well they'll help, but its something to think about. good luck

I hope your little boy does well with them. My boys don't have any problems, that I'm aware of but it seems like there are a lot of Yorkies on YT that have had LP surgery so I wondered if a supplement would help and maybe keep some of them from having to have surgery. Good luck with your boy and thank you for the info.
