| Shots from petco? Hi. Mia is due for her yearly shots, and my petco is having a low cost vaccination clinic tomorrow. So I was thinking about taking her there. Any thoughts? Or has anybody had an experience with them? |

| The petco where I live does this every Sunday. It's vet's that donate their time don't know if they get paid or not probably do. They are called Luv My Pet. If you go may I make a suggestion. Get there at least an hour early and get in line. If not you will be there forever. I take all of our dogs and for $60 each they get all of their vacc and heartworm test. You can also buy their medications as well. Heartworm pills, Frontline or whatever you use. They also do a fecal test. The last one I did they gave me a container to put it in and a mailer to mail it off. I love going there but, I do have a vet to go to if I need them for anything other than vaccinations or meds. Good Luck if you go. Let us know how it turns out.

This is exactly the reason why I go to petco. I have 3 dogs and I was quoted $150+ for each dog. It's ridiculous.

| I am in southern California also... I am in the South Bay area. We have a vet here called Bay Cities pet hospital. Located on Hawthorne in Torrance. Not sure where you are, The prices there are great. no office visit fee on regular healthy check ups only the price of shots and the the vets there are real knowlageable about yorkies too. One Dr. there that helped with Daisy and the pups this morning had told me a while back that her sister breeds yorkies also. They are great. If you want other info on them and you are close PM me and I will send you the address and the Dr. name with the number. Also they are on a walk in basis. I have never been in there over an hour , that was with the tail clipping this morning. |

| Mia got her shots Mia had her shots this morning. Is there anything I should watch for in case she has a bad reaction? This is my first time to go through this. She came to me with all of her shots already done. It was horrible, she yelped for about 2 minutes. Thanks!!!! |

| Aw poor Mia! At least its done and over with. When Jewels had a reaction she hid under a chair. She was irritable, she cried when you tried to handle her or pick her up and she didnt want to be picked up she just kept hiding under the chair.

| Both of mine had the lepto shot too and it didnt cause a reaction. We havehad cases of lepto in our area so the vet said they had to have it. It was the bordatello that Jewels had a reaction too. If she does seem to have a slight reaction you can give her a half of a baby asprin for pain.

I'm glad she's feeling better. I love Petco I have 3 dogs and it cost me $60 for each dog plus the meds. It would be over $200 for each at the vets. They are a life saver.
