| What about baby food for your picky Yorkie? When I first got Sweet Pea she won't eat. The vet had me offer her baby food as an option. My other Yorkie Sebastian is VERY picky, I have mixed baby food with his dry food a couple of times and he gobbled it up. Is baby food harmful for dogs? (chicken and rice, sweet pototoes, beef & barley) |

| I feed mine lamb baby food whenever they are sick and I've never had any problems with it. I don't know how it works long term so you might want to ask your vet about that. Also make sure to avoid any baby food w/ garlic or onion in it.

| When I first got Cruz he didn't eat anything. The breeder, who is also the lady who grooms my dogs, said to try baby food. So I fed him sweet potatoes and lamb baby food. I kept dry food in his cage and eventually he started eating it on his own. |

| Abbi Rose Hello everyone, Thank God for this site. Molliemae is trying to wean Abbi and I fed her Gerber's chicken and rice and gave her Nutristat. I have been so upset because I know she isn't getting enough to eat. She is a fat little thing 1 lb. She is 3 weeks old now and adorable. I wish I could send pictures for you all to see them both. Thank you all. Without this site I would have lost my mind. God bless. Jan |

| Another thing I used when Cooper was smaller was the toddler meat sticks. They come in chicken, beef and turkey. He would eat those when he would eat nothing else. He now eats regular dry dog food and also the natural balance that comes in the tube (like a big sausage stick). It is frustrating when they are small and you feel like you've tried everything!

| Abbi Rose Thanks so much for your replies. I think I will try the cottage cheese and scrambled egg. She is only 3 weeks and I am afraid she will choke. Molliemae did feed her again, but I think she is trying to wean her because she leaves her so often now. Abbi Rose weighs 1 lb. Is that enough at 3 weeks? Thanks, Jan |
