| Spaying question I hope I'm in the right forum. Could some of you that have had your females spayed please tell me how long - if at all - your furbabies had to wear that cone thing around their heads? Ours said 7-10 days. I don't remember anyone mentioning this. Thank You!

| Hi. Layla did not wear the collar... i just coudln't do it to her.. instead... i read on here somone suggested putting baby onsies on her... you know the little undershirts for infants that go under the diaper. Layla is a little over 3 lbs so i bought her premies... and she wore them for 10 days until she got her stiches out. She wore it mostly at night when i coudln't keep an eye on her.. but also during the day because she wanted to lick her stiches. she looked so cute too i recommend them! i bought two packages because they did get quite dirty esp near the bum area wal mart has them cheap! good luck.. let me know how it goes and send pictures! |

| Neither one of my dogs had to wear a cone or a onsie.... If they don't mess with their sutures it really isn't necessary. Try not having the e-collar on your pup while you're around and keeping an eye on her. If she doesn't worry his stitches at all she's probably fine without it. If she starts picking at them or licking them excessively, then she should probably have something on her. |

| I was wondering the same question. i was at the walmart looking for the same item. does anyone who's used onsies have trouble putting them on since there's no button down the belly? |

| When i brought layla out to pee/poop i would unsnap the onesie and fold it up. She eventulaly got to the point where she didn't need to have it on all day.. just at night when i couldn't always watch her. |

| Sissy also did not wear a collar or a onesie and never messed with her incision. I think it helped though that all her stitches were internal.

| This could be a challenge since Minnie is pee pad trained. And she will be going to get spayed this week to.
